Social Commerce Platform Allows Affinity Groups to Create Own Social Networks

 

ihiveLIVE.com Connects Members and Drives Revenue Opportunities

Niagara, Ontario, September 21, 2008 – Affinity-centric groups now have a web-based solution that keeps their members connected. ihiveLIVE.com, a turn-key social network and social commerce platform, launched by Tri-Media Integrated Marketing Technologies Inc., combines online network capabilities while employing precision marketing and social commerce tactics that extend customized offers to network, or “hive,” members.

The ihiveLIVE.com business model targets a variety of affinity group types: institutions of learning, (universities/K-12 - students, alumni, faculty/staff and relevant communities), professional organizations, faith-based groups, and not-for-profit organizations. Once a hive is established, members of the hosting organization are able to connect with each other by creating personal profiles. As members express their preferences and take advantage of promotional offers extended by merchants, the hosting organization receives a percentage of each transaction amount.

At the same time, local, regional and national merchants (restaurants, hotels, bookstores, etc.) are able to create targeted offers through ihiveLIVE.com and send them to hive members whose preferences match the offer’s criteria. In addition, the system facilitates the dissemination of “Notifications”, of weather conditions or other crises, institution communiqués such as exam schedules or pep rallies and, relevant community news.
